Welcome to NeatSnap. By accessing or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using NeatSnap, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

NeatSnap is an expense tracking and budgeting application that allows you to:

• Track expenses and income
• Scan receipts using AI-powered OCR
• Set and manage budgets
• View spending insights and reports
• Set bill reminders
• Share budgets with other users (Pro feature)

3. Account Registration

To use NeatSnap, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Free and Pro Plans

NeatSnap offers both free and paid subscription plans:

• Free Plan: Limited features with usage caps (20 expenses/month, 2 OCR scans/month, 3 bill reminders)
• Pro Plan: Unlimited access to all features for a monthly or annual subscription fee

5. Payments and Billing

For Pro subscriptions:

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
• Price changes will be communicated in advance

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious content or attempt to hack the service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use automated systems to access the service without permission
• Violate the rights of other users

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload (receipts, expense data, etc.). By using NeatSnap, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and process your data to provide the service
• Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our service

We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

8. AI and OCR Processing

Our receipt scanning feature uses AI (OpenAI) to extract data from images. You acknowledge that:

• AI extraction may not always be 100% accurate
• You should verify extracted data before saving
• Images are processed for data extraction but are not used to train AI models

9. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted access to the service
• That the service will be error-free
• That data will never be lost (please maintain your own backups)

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

NeatSnap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Financial decisions made based on data in the app
• Inaccurate expense tracking or budget calculations
• Data loss due to technical issues
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where NeatSnap operates. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction.
